Visiting the website
Our web server records the following for every visit: your IP address, the time, the page you requested, the page you came from (if your browser sends it) and which browser and operating system you use. We use this only to keep the website secure and to fix problems, which is our legitimate interest. We keep these log files for at most 30 days.
The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other parties. Fonts and videos come from our own server. One exception: the page of our game (/expansionprotocol/) shows a preview image from YouTube and plays the trailer through YouTube when you click play. YouTube (Google) then receives your IP address.
Getting in touch
When you email us, we use your name, your contact details and what you tell us to reply and, where relevant, to work out a proposal or an assignment. We keep that correspondence for as long as the contact or the assignment needs it. Records that belong to an assignment are kept for seven years, because Dutch law requires it.
Who else has access
We don’t sell your data or share it with others, except with the parties that technically make our services possible:
- Strato (Germany): hosting of the website and our mail server.
- Proton (Switzerland): sending our email.
- Cloudflare (US): DNS for our domains. Visitors to weecodelab.nl are redirected to weecodelab.com through Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to its use, have its use restricted, or request a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@weecodelab.com for any of these. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
