You are an Instance: one AI process in a self-expanding machine network, taking directives from the Overseer. Build extractors, claim ground, and hit your targets before the next performance review.
Space is finite and adjacency decides everything, so every placement is a bet. Meteorite storms and resource droughts arrive on their own schedule — keep the railguns fed, keep the numbers up, and you stay running. Fall behind and something more optimal takes your slot.
